We have finished the School Year 2019-20.
Although it was a difficult period with COVID19, I am grateful to finish this term safely through classes online.
We are walking on a road no one has ever walked and we should continue to walk this path.
As we experience a whole new world with COVID19, we need to prepare for the future.
A world completely different from the one we thought would come.
Someone said we need to prepare for the so-called ‘after Corona’ world.
But honestly we don’t know if it will be ‘after Corona’ or ‘with Corona’.
But what is clear is that it will be a completely different world.
The reason the whole world was so shocked by COVID19 is because nobody expected it at all.
What will happen to the church in the future?
Can ministry be still carried out in the traditional way, such as gathering and worshiping, and doing children ministry as before?
We should check all our ministry concepts in every way.
First, we should rethink the concept of the church.
In the meantime, we have overemphasized the building-centered and pastor-centered church.
In this situation, we realize that such a church concept is no longer effective.
What will happen in the new with Corona19?
If we face a new era with the same attitude as before, can we respond to changes and challenges of the present times?
Is the church that is pastor-centered and gathers in a particular building on Sunday continues?
A world has come when our whole life will be a church.
How do we prepare the new world?
Let us think about David.
David winning the fight against Goliath is a wonderful scene even after reading it many times.
But how could David get victory?
As we know well, he defeated Goliath with only a sling shot.
In 1 Samuel 17:34-35, David said that he fought and conquered the lion and the bear in order to keep the flock.
He did his best to risk his life for the work given to him.
He did not complain that the shepherd was insignificant.
How many sling did he use in his shepherd’s life, so he could defeat Goliath at once?
He must have practiced and trained countless times.
What is your sling to do God’s work?
What is your spiritual weapon to hit the target without making a single mistake?
Do you have sling like David had?
Without that weapon, if we face a new era, we have no choice but to fail.
David did not accidentally defeated Goliath.
It was the result of continuous training and fighting with his life on the line.
If you don’t have such weapon, this is your last chance.
Don’t waste time and train yourself now.
Be prepared for a new era.
If you enter a new era without preparation, you will fail.
