Grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
People are getting tired of the longer quarantine.
Perhaps it will take more time than we think to get back to the pre-Corona19 situation.
I hope you spend this time wisely.
Jesus sometimes enjoyed quarantine.
He spent 40 days in the wildness and withdraw himself and went to solitary place.
I'm reading Dallas Willard's book ¡°The Great Omission,¡± which I read a few years ago.
In this book, Dallas Willard says, "To be like Christ, you need a plan."
He said that in order to resemble Jesus, it is necessary to use the body strategically for purpose.
For that, Jesus asks us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, lose our life for Jesus and the gospel (Matthew 10:39, 16: 24-26), and ¡°give up everything¡± and follow Him (Luke 14: 25-35).
Paul says, ¡°Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.¡±(Galatians 5:24)
What plan do you have to be like Jesus?
Do you have a specific strategy for that plan?
You may not think that if you believe in Jesus, you will automatically become like Jesus.
The methods Jesus frequently used to train his disciples were fasting, prayer, solitude, silence, service, and learning.
These are good methods to practice at home during quarantine.
Stop complaining about quarantine but make it an opportunity to train yourself.
So, when the quarantine is over and we meet again, I hope that you are more spiritually mature and be like Jesus.
If you can, I hope all of you should read Dallas Willard's book ¡°The Great Omission¡±.
My wife and I pray for your safety and health every day.
God bless you.
