My Discipleship Experience
It¡¯s been a long journey of my life to find the true serenity of having with Jesus. Since the Lord found me my heart keeps looking how to grow more in the knowledge and grace of our Lord. To understand fully His will on my life and how to serve Him more. The unveiling of the search starts when I study the Discipleship program. It helps a lot in my spiritual growth and gives me an opportunity to love God more.
I would like to thank God for a wonderful opportunity He gave me to be a part on this subject and the untiring support of my Teacher Myra, who helps my life to become a better person. Finding me and quench of my soul¡¯s thirsting became important. My life has never been the same because through this program I learn to be more humble to read the Bible ten chapters a day, To be with God always in prayer; and learn to serve Him well through the practical ways in serving people generously.
It¡¯s really a wonderful grace of God that brought me here in MBST. I never thought how much grateful I am to give a privilege by God to know; love and serve Him more. The first time I met this subject it seems that every thing on my part will all be a burden. I thought it will add more headache and heavy loads. During early stage of my journey I¡¯m like a baby codling by a spiritual milk and latter become more thirsty of having it. I experience to learn how to read the Bible ten chapters a day and later become more. It help me to realized how joyful to finished reading a Bible in just almost a year.
Through this wonderful lifestyle of having daily devotion it caters me to bring into the dimension of my long lost first love in the Lord. I came to wake up early dawn to read and pray. I learn to remember some but not all; the situation, people, and a prayer request surround me. I became more sensitive in the voice of the Holy Spirit and finding His will for a day. I learn to pray the needs of others. It¡¯s a humble experience to be in God¡¯s presence.
For me discipleship is not just only learning and gaining knowledge about spiritual matters but building up also my Christian character formation and generosity. I learn to put most of it into a practical ways on helping my wife, children, ministries and community. It helps me to apply it in my daily routine on serving people surrounded me. Through these weekly sessions, it always reminded me how to deal people properly and to help solving their problems. I found the joy of giving generously, a helping hand for those who are in need. And most of all being true to my self and my God.
In conclusion, my discipleship experience will goes on until the coming of my Lord. I know words are not enough to express how grateful I am, in giving me an opportunity to dig treasure and find it. May the Lord bless more this institute and all the teachers who became a channel of blessing for us to reach His wonderful will and purpose in our lives. May the spirit of legacy and instruction of the Lord will pass into coming generation. I humbly say¡¦¡±So, help me God¡±. To God be the glory forever.
